Join Us in Nashville – September 2021

A Message of Gratitude

Earlier this week, like so many others, I became emotional as I watched the footage of a Long Island critical-care nurse, Sandra Lindsay, receive the first Covid-19 vaccination administered in the United States. Upon receiving the vaccine, RN Lindsay also appeared overcome by emotion, which I can only imagine included tremendous gratitude and relief. Given the suffering and loss experienced by so many during this unprecedented year of challenges, this historic moment is a reminder that even the bravest heroes among us need support, and that we can more effectively achieve our common goals when we work together.

It’s in this spirit of togetherness that my teammates and I emphatically agreed that the Transformation of Youth Justice Symposium and Training Institutes should be held in person. The heroes of our field (youth-serving leaders, practitioners, on-the-ground staff — who you are likely among) deserve the opportunity to come together to learn and support one another in our efforts to improve outcomes for children and families. Accordingly, I am incredibly grateful to share that, in light of medical and scientific progress and projections, our Transformation of Youth Justice Symposium and Training Institutes will be convened in-person in September 2021.

We will provide additional information about the Transformation of Youth Justice Symposium and Training Institutes early in the New Year, but for now we encourage you to mark your calendars and plan to join us in the vibrant heart of downtown Nashville on September 8-10, 2021. I can say with tremendous excitement that we are looking forward to seeing you in person next year.

Please stay tuned and of course, stay well.

With gratitude for all you do and the sincere hopes that you enjoy a wonderful and safe Christmas and holiday season!

Warmest regards,
